OSBP – the Online School for Banking Professionals – is an e-learning platform built to help financial institutions better serve small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). It brings together practical knowledge from years of hands-on SME lending experience across emerging markets and makes it accessible to banking and microfinance professionals throughout Central Asia.

The platform covers a wide range of topics, including credit analysis, underwriting, loan decisions, borrower monitoring, client communication, sales, financial mathematics, agricultural lending, corporate governance, and risk management. Content is designed to be directly applicable to day-to-day work, reflecting real market conditions and lending practices in the region.

All courses are free of charge and available in Russian, Kyrgyz, Tajik, Uzbek, and English.

OSBP is the successor to the EBRD's Regional Small Business Programme in Central Asia (RSBP), which operated from June 2017 to July 2026 with funding from the European Union and support from the Entrepreneurship Development Fund "Damu" of Kazakhstan. During that period, RSBP trained more than 20,000 staff from over 200 financial institutions across Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.

OSBP is implemented by IPC, a German development finance consulting firm.
